NSXPO21 - Yellowstone

 

NSXPO21

 NSXPO21 (NSX Club of America national meet) was near Portland in the fall of 2021 and we took a couple weeks to drive out and back.

The first major stop was Badlands National Park.

From Badlands we heading west of Cody WY to spend the night. From there we took Chief Joseph Scenic Byway thru the mountains to where it meets the Beartooth Highway and from there to the northeast gate to Yellowstone National park. Just spectacular scenery the entire way.

Stauton VA 2021

 The best part of the trip was the drive down Skyline Drive. Stauton is just west of where the southern part of Skyline hits the northern most part of the Blue Ride. In the year since this trip we've found several really fun roads by heading north and west into West Virginia.

I had about 12 hours to get home on Sunday so I left early. The sun coming through the morning fog on the Skyline drive made for amazing scenery.

more Mid-Ohio 2021

 

My driver was Marcus Erisson, we had a nice chat during the lap. He is a super nice guy and finished second if I remember right.

Mid-Ohio indy 2021

 Every year when the indy cars race at the Mid-Ohio track they have a group of S2000 owners drive the drivers for the parade lap.

Beside getting on the track and meeting the drivers the best part is we get free weekend passes and our own parking lot next to the track.

The stadium trucks were also there for the weekend.

Tomcatt 2021

 Or as it is now know, the Marietta Memorial Meet. Our annual drive in southern Ohio to honor an old friend known online as "Tomcatt".

Every drive involves stopping for food somewhere. The running joke is we drive 5 hours everyday just to eat lunch.

I finally decide to clean out my barn and give away a couple of project cars. My 73 454 vette that I drove all through college.

My 65 Corvair that I started working on in high school. I dropped a 350 v8 in the backseat.
