Washington DC - part 2

The Capitol Building, from the east side.

About 30 seconds after I took this a police officer stopped me to check for my tripod permit, who knew you needed a permit to use a tripod. We spent the next hour going through security and following an officer to the hidden police post several stories below the building to get a permit.

By the time we finished getting the permit, it was dark out.

A fountain just across the street from the National Botanical Gardens.
