Kayakers

One of the days we were in North Carolina they happened to release water from the Santeetlah Dam so the kayakers were out having fun. We stopped for a while and watched and shot a few photos.
Not sure closing your eyes is the best strategy for staying out of trouble.

It seems half the kayakers and half or more of the S2000s (mine included) had GoPros mounted on them.

Good thing this guy had nose plugs, he finished this part of the river upside down.

Rock The Dragon

We took a long weekend trip to Fontana Village for the spring S2000 group drive to the Tail of the Dragon in Deal's Gap North Carolina.

We met up in Cincinnati with a group from the midwest for the drive down.

Friday morning was the first timers drive which we made in a slight rain. This was probably the slowest we drove the whole weekend.

In addition to all the S2000's there were several NSX's along with a few other cars. With any luck my next fun car will be one of these.

After the morning newbie drive we went on a group drive to Franklin, then on to Bridal Veil Falls.

Just up the road from Bridal Veil Falls was Dry Falls.

The view from underneath Dry Falls.

Saturday morning was the drive for the entire group, 175 cars total.

I thought I drove fast, but when you look in your mirror and see "MOVE OVER" you realize some people drive much, much faster.

Rolling into the "gravel" parking lot at the west of the Dragon, part of the group.

The most S2000s I've ever seen in one place. If I see 1 other one in a normal summer week it's a surprise, this is well over 100.

We were on our way to North Carolina for an S2000 group drive and stopped by the Newport Aquarium.

The view across the river to Cincinnati.
