A little of everything

The camera is usually sitting on the kitchen counter or the desk in the bedroom. Here are some various photos shot out the window in the last couple of months.

This is what happens when you put corn out for the deer.
The view out the kitchen window after an ice storm.

Ducks on the pond.
Baby geese. They were not born on our pond but showed up for a day last weekend.

I have hundreds of photos of geese on our pond, this may be my favorite because it's so peaceful looking.

Cincinnati Zoo

Things were running so good in the plant I took the morning off and enjoyed the almost warm weather.

Snakes make good portraits, they seem to like just sitting still and posing.

Guess he didn't want to picture taken so he stuck out his tongue at me.

There were so few people at the zoo that most of the animals stopped and starred at me.

Condors, they refused to turn around and pose for me.

Lunch time for the Lowlands Gorillas.

Deep in thought.

Leaf cutter ants, these little guys didn't stop working the whole time I watched them.

Black Rhino.

Bongo.

A little nap and spooning for the tigers.

I waited and waited and waited for this little Bonobo to look up but he just refused, he was too busy playing.

Nap time for the Polar Bears.

Lunch Time.

Mmmmm bark, same thing I had for lunch.

Newport Kentucky Aquarium

I spent part of today in the aquarium in Newport, Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. I took a ton of photos and most of them turned out terrible. Shooting through the glass and water gave me so many problems. These are among the very few that turned out at least a little in focus.
The Aquarium is part of Newport on the Levee

Front of the Aquarium,

It's an Aquarium but they still have some snakes and frogs and such.

Jellyfish, very cool to look at but so hard to photograph, without the flash they were so dark, but with the flash the colors tended to go away.

A very cool part of the Aquarium were the glass tunnels that went through the tanks instead of just looking in from the outside.

A huge octopus which was in a very dark tank, this photo was handheld and was as sharp as I could get it without a flash.

Perhaps the ugliest turtle I've ever seen.

The Jellyfish room.

The fish eye view of what the tunnels look like.
