Gettysburg

The second day of our weekend we spent at Gettysburg touring the battlefield, by car and Segway.

Where the battle started on the first day, July 1st, 1863.

Eternal Light Peace Memorial.

The fence line atop Seminary Ridge.

The view from the top of Little Round Top. Since it was Memorial Day weekend there were a lot of people.

Segway practice/road test before they let us out on the open road. I'll admit a few cones were run over before we all passed.

Racing through the National Park at 10 miles per hours. I was usually the last one in the group.

The view of Gettysburg from the Observation Tower on top of Culps hill.

A cannon at Culps Hill.

Our fearless leader checking that we were all still with her.

The best Ice Cream shop in town, we of course returned later in the car and had ice cream.

The Pennsylvania Memorial.

Me on top of the Pennsylvania Memorial.

The view from Cemetery Ridge. Hard to believe so many fought and so many died in such a small piece of land.
