The Wilds

We took a photo safari to the Wilds. It's a 10,000 acre wild animal preserve that is part of the Columbus Zoo and located about an hour east of there. It was setup by a photo store in Columbus I've bought stuff from before.
Instead of walking around looking at animals in cages, they put us in the cage (bus) and drive us through the paddocks with the animals.

Pere David's deer. As you can tell they love to cover their antlers with mud and brush.

This herd of Bison are not on the Wild's property but roam on the neighboring land.

Bactrian Camel.

According to our guide, the foaming at the mouth is a signal this guy is "ready for love".

Przewalski's Wild Horse.

Sichuan Takin. These enjoy bumping heads with each other. We watched two of them go head to head and just push each back and forth seemly for the fun of it.

African Painted Dogs. Feeding time was interesting, they hunt as a pack and definitely are meat eaters.

Cheetah.
