NSXPO 2023 Atlanta

 Michigan to Atlanta is a straight shot on I-75 but that's not the fun way so I went through the Tail of the Dragon area then did the Georgia six-gap mountain roads.

Cheoah Dam from the overlook on the Dragon, also known as "Fugitive" dam where they shot some scenes of the movie.

Met up with some friends at Hub 129 on the eastern end of the dragon.

Brasstown Bald is the top of the highest mountain in Georgia which within the six-gap area.

Wildlife

 One advantage of having a pond on our property is there is always wildlife around to photograph. My camera is usually laying on a table somewhere in the house ready if I look out a window and spot something to shoot.

One of our drives stopped at Haiwassee Dam. Most of the fun twisty roads run along the rivers in the mountains so there are lot of TVA dams in the area.

I just realized this is a high crash road, wink wink.

 Whoever sets up the trip usually makes magnets and as you can see some people have been on many many trips. The refrigerator in my garage at home is covered with trip magnets.

We started as an all Honda S2000 group and now it's bring whatever you have as long as it's fun to drive.

If I had posted this when it happened instead of 18 months later I would probably remember what waterfalls this was.

Tail of the Dragon boat ramp just downstream from Fontana Dam. Early mornings are great for photos here because there is usually fog covering the river.

Hellbender 2023

 One of our annual summer car trips is to Summersville WV to drive the fun roads in that area, including the roads around Snowshoe Resort.
