Red River Gorge drive

 We take road trips to anywhere we can find fun twisty roads. This trip was with the S2000 club to Kentucky, about an hour southeast of Lexington.

We pretty much took over the entire hotel.

A local business on route 11 that has one of the coolest locations ever. The building is surrounded by cliffs.

The road looks like it disappears but actually we're heading into the Nada tunnel. It's only 1 lane wide so you have to make sure nobody if coming the other way.

Deer

 

It's a little creepy when you're working in the yard and look up and see these guys staring down at you.

Mom and fawn looking at me from the front yard and with the big ears they hear every little sound you make.

This deer is letting me know what he thinks of me taking his photo.

Wildlife part 2

 

One of our watch frogs that live on the deck on the back of the house.

A busy day in the front yard.

One of the few events during the covid lockdown. Jets doing flyovers at various places around the area.

One of the more interesting things I've seen the geese doing, it was raining and the mother goose used her wings to shelter her goslings.

We always have geese on our pond but ducks are a bit more rare to see, I have no idea why.

Sometimes things are looking up and sometimes looking down.

Backyard wildlife

 I took lots of photos during covid but somehow didn't post any so now it's time to catch up for the last couple of years. 

As always we have lots of deer in the yard during the winter, we usually put corn out for them to eat.

Everything else in the yard, including the squirrels enjoy the deer feeders.

Normally you see deer running around or standing in the yard but every now and then you look out and find one just sitting and relaxing.

Not exactly "in" the yard but I could see it from the backyard.

We don't see them often but there is a family of muskrats living in the pond.
