Montego Bay Jamaica

Watching the cliff diving at Rick's Cafe.
View from our room. The resort was beautiful and very quiet and relaxing.

Sail / snorkel trip.

Rick's Cafe, the plan was to have a few drinks and watch the sunset.

It was a bit overcast so this was a close we got to seeing the sunset.

Flying back home late at night, and I'm finally caught up on my blog for the last 18 months.

Fall Dragon Run

Our twice a year pilgrimage to the twistiest road east of the Mississippi, my favorite way to put a big smile on my face.

Meeting up with the Cincy group for a quick cruise down to Marysville TN.

Stopped for pics and sightseeing. We do a little sightseeing, very little, mostly just drive and swap stories about driving.

Had to to skip our group shot in the "gravel parking lot" because another was using it so we stopped across from the Harley Store.

Some of the local wildlife.

Lining up for a group drive.

Woodward Dream Cruise 16

Every August in southeast Michigan since 1995 we have a summer cruise on Woodward Ave to celebrate the car culture and history of the Detroit area. The first one drew a quarter of a million people and now it's usually about 1.5 million people and 40,000+ classic cars.

It's one huge car show, there are collections in most parking lots and parks you can walk through, or you can drive and look at cars, or grab a lawn chair and sit next to the road and watch the car show roll by.

People bring anything and everything, from Model T's to modern supercars to trucks to bikes and anything you can imagine.

TV stations cover it by loading the news guy, cameraman and sound person into a convertible and cruising.

Even the Police find something fast to cruise in.

My current dream about car.
Traffic is bad, usually so bad it's faster for the Police to use bikes instead of driving.

My winged nemesis

This white Heron visits my pond once or twice a week during the summer. I've been trying for years to get any good photos of it, but it's the shyest bird ever. I can get photos out the bedroom window, but open the door to the deck, try to sneak around the corner and "boom" he's gone.

Last summer he let his guard down, I was able to sneak out the front door and crawl across the front yard and get some photos thru the bushes. Hopefully none of my neighbors drove by so I never had to explain what I was doing.

At first I was shooting through an opening in the bushes around the pond.

Finally I was able to crawl around to the end of pond to get photos without bushes. I never noticed that empty bucket until I was looking at these photo, guess I will have to add "clean pond" to my to-do list for next summer.

He finally noticed me and he was gone.

The ducks and the geese are completely the opposite, unless you walk right up to them, they just ignore you.

The turtles are a little shy, you can walk around the pond but just not get too close. They ignore you to a point, then move one step closer and they all head straight into the water together.
