NSXPO, the national get together for the NSX Club of America was held in Dallas in the fall of 2024. As usual I started a little early and had some fun on the way home too.
From Michigan I headed south to Nashville the first night to meet up with a couple of east coast friends, Jason and Jerry. Jerry had just done some work on his car so he decided to trailer it to Dallas, just in case.
Crossing the Mississippi River into Arkansas.
At one point on I-40 we spotted smoke ahead. Nobody was sure what to do so we kept going, fully expecting to find the freeway closed at some point.
Once we got closer it appeared to be grass fires on both sides of the road, hard to see but nobody was stopping.
It was a pretty surreal drive for a few minutes.
Once past the brush fires it cleared up for a few minutes then we came to what we think was original source of the fires, a bus or rv burning on the side of the road.
When we made it to Dallas the first two days were the track even at G2 Motorsports Park in Anna TX, just northeast of Dallas. It was mostly NSXs but a few people brought actual race cars.
