Rocky Mountaineer - second part of first day

The first day of the trip was Denver to Glenwood Springs where we spent the night. I didn't know this ahead of time but you don't spend the night on the train.

View inside our train car, very comfortable and roomy, very bright with lots of windows for an amazing view.

Kayakers running the river. I didn't include any photos but we were surprised to learn about the "colorado hello" which almost every person on every raft moons all the trains going by.

This is very well known station wagon that a teenager borrowed from him mom, unknown to her which he then crashed off the road and down the hill.

Two of the few rafters that did not moon us.

Just has you're coming into Glenwood Springs, on the right side of the tracks, there is an amusement on the top of the mountain, you have to take a gondola to get there from the city.

Pulling into Genwood Springs for the first night's stay.
