I believe they told us this was called Battleship Row because the rocks look like a row of ships.
One of the many arches the waves have cut into the cliffs.
The lake was pretty calm so they pulled the ship into this cove almost to the point you could touch the cliffs.
This is Chapel Rock. This was an arch long time ago and the roots from the tree ran over the arch which collapsed at some point and now the roots are still growing but hanging in the air.
A Bald Eagle we spotted while on the boat trip.
Along the Lake Superior shoreline on a cool foggy morning. The day after Pictured Rocks we headed west then north to Copper Harbor to take a trip to Isle Royal National Park. The weather however was too rough for a 3 1/2 each way boat trip so we had to put off that park for another trip. After a night in Copper Harbor we headed west again, next stop Voyageurs National Park in Minnesota.
