Day 10 - Glacier National Park

We spent the morning driving from Great Falls, Montana up to Glacier. Just like the rest of Montana, it's a lot of wheat fields, hills and valleys in the northern part of the state. It's hard to get used to coming around a corner and finding a horse or some cattle grazing along the edge of the road.

We spent the afternoon hiking around swiftcurrent lake, at the end of the ManyGlacier road. The scenery is incredibly beautiful.

A windmill tree forest in northern Montana, Laurie was so bored she counted them all, something like 140 of them.
Every time I see one of these I have the urge to scream "TACO JOHN'S!!!!!!", and there is one in almost every town out here.
Just outside the east side of Glacier National Park.
Along the Many glacier road.
Looking across Swiftcurrent lake at one of the many peaks, I'm not sure which.
Many Glacier hotel on Swiftcurrent lake, we didn't stay here because it was full, as were all the hotels within the park.
The Mustang is still looking good, although it's not anywhere as clean as when we started. It's amazing how many smashed bugs you can collect on the front bumper in a day or two of crusing the freeways out here at 80 mph.
